The distinction the design rests on

| Evidence | Something we can point at that is now wrong. |
| Suspicion | Nobody has checked recently enough to know. |
Age raises a suspicion. Only evidence reaches outdated.
Tip
A five-year-old page that is still correct is still correct. A tool that calls it outdated teaches people to ignore the indicator.
